Our Experience 
Founder Chris Johnson became an art lover in high school after seeing an El Greco exhibit at the Toledo Museum of Art. In 2003, he founded a small contemporary art gallery in Chicago, allowing him to learn firsthand the challenges faced by arts organizations when trying to obtain the appropriate insurance coverage. This led Chris to found Johnsonese Brokerage, and for the last 12 years, Johnsonese  has been supporting art organizations and creative businesses navigate the insurance process in order to protect their business, ideas and employees.
