MEMBERSHIPS

We are proud members of the following organizations:

Local First Chicago

Local First Chicago's mission is to educate the public on the importance of choosing locally owned, independent businesses. We work primarily through public education, business support, and advocacy.

Local First Chicago is a network of locally owned, independent businesses and community organizations joined together to keep money and character in our neighborhoods and build a thriving local living economy. In doing so, we hope to promote the overall social, economic, and environmental health of our economy and communities.

Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America

The Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America (IIABA) is a national alliance of 300,000 business owners and their employees who offer all types of insurance and financial services products. IIABA was founded in 1896.

Unlike company-employed agents, IIABA independent insurance agents and insurance brokers represent more than one insurance company, so they can offer clients a wider choice of coverages and employee-benefit products. If a loss occurs, the independent insurance agent or broker stands with the client until the claim is settled.

Wicker Park Bucktown Chamber of Commerce

Wicker Park Bucktown Chamber of Commerce’s strength lies in the number and diversity of our Membership. We strive to develop innovative ways to increase commerce among our Members. Cooperative marketing, networking, and sponsorship opportunities increase member visibility and encourage profitable relationships within the community.

(The offices of the Johnsonese Brokerage are located in Chicago’s Bucktown neighborhood.)

River North Association

The River North Association is dedicated to promoting and securing prosperity for neighborhood businesses, residents and visitors. We serve as our community’s promoter, protector, advisor and advocate!

(The River North neighborhood is Chicago’s largest gallery district.)

Chicago Area Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce

We seek to develop, educate, support, and promote diverse gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender businesses, as well as our supportive businesses, in Chicagoland.

Illinois Association of Museums

The Illinois Association of Museums is an agent for positive change in the museum community – providing advocacy, promoting best practices, and fostering the exchange of ideas.

Association of Midwest Museums

The Association of Midwest Museums provides resources to museums and cultural institutions and services to museum professionals in an eight-state region in the Midwest, including Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Ohio, and Wisconsin. AMM provides a forum for dialogue and an exchange of ideas, provides resources to create and sustain strong cultural institutions, and fosters professional development and leadership within the museum community.
